This upcoming week I will work on inking and coloring this piece digitally with my new drawing tablet.

This last week I took a class on hand lettering and started this piece as my practice project. The idea has been in my mind for a while, but I’ve been struggling with the execution. The class I took mostly helped me with the process of progressively iterating on my idea until I figured out the design. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out! I did spell the poet’s last name incorrectly (sorry John O’Donohue). It is a rough draft after all — I’ll fix it on the permanent piece.
